BAE Systems employs individuals in a variety of engineering disciplines. Engineers support research and development projects and production. Due to the flexible organization of the company, engineers often move through different product areas and programs while gaining valuable knowledge on product development and life cycles.

We employ talented individuals in the following areas:

applied mechanics and materials engineers
Perform high-level research, analysis and testing in the following areas: dynamics, structural mechanics (FEA), thermal and fluid mechanics and materials.

configuration management engineers
Conduct analysis and provide recommendations on parts standardization, component engineering and software configuration management.

electrical engineers
Design, develop, analyze, test and integrate electronics, digital control systems and microprocessors into weapon systems, as well as develop system architecture and subsystem interfaces.

industrial engineers
Develop, implement and evaluate procedures, methods and standards for industrial, manufacturing and quality engineering.

logistics engineers
Perform logistics support analysis (LSA) and provide recommendations to design engineers on maintainability and supportability requirements.

manufacturing engineers
Review, evaluate and recommend changes to manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, foundry, assembly and heat treat.

mechanical engineers
Design, develop, model and test portions of or entire armaments and vehicle systems using advanced software, such as Pro/ENGINEER, to develop product specifications and test procedures.

simulation engineers
Reponsible for real-time man-in-the-loop software design, development and testing for simulation and training systems. Require familiarity in the use, application, integration and testing of software development and computer-assisted software engineering (CASE) tools. Provide hands-on technical support in order to conceptualize, propose, design and develop highly complex real-time MITL simulation and training systems.

software engineers
Analyze, design, develop, code, document and test software (including real-time operating systems, embedded control, modeling and simulation), as well as develop software specifications and tools.

software process engineers
Coordinate the activities to assess, develop, maintain and improve organizational and project software processes. Knowledge of Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model. Knowledge of statistical process control techniques and theory of quantitative management.

software quality engineers
Plan and conduct ongoing evaluations of all deliverable and non-deliverable software development cycle products and activities. Perform SQA activities on Department of Defense contracts. Ability to write test cases and conduct performance evaluations of software, as well as evaluate deliverables.

systems assessment engineers
Analyze system requirements in one of the following areas: reliability, human factors, systems safety and software quality assurance, and recommend system changes to design engineers.

systems engineers
Conduct/lead the preliminary design, concept formulation and specification development for weapon systems, as well as perform other responsibilities, including risk analysis, optimization and trade study analysis.
