BAE Systems, Land and Armaments, in support of the Manned Ground Vehicle (MGV) Future Combat System (FCS) Program intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Close Combat Armament System (CCAS) remote controlled Remote Weapon Station (RWS). The RWS is expected to be a completely integrated platform consisting of a two-axis gimbaled supporting structure, weapon, inertial-stabilized sight-sensor, and computing capability for fire control and motion control. Weapon and Feed System reliability is key to the success of any supplier.

The purpose of this RFP announcement is to identify potential Offerors for FCS MGV NBCCS material testing efforts. Interested parties should indicate their interest and provide contact information to BAE Systems so that they may receive an RFP package. Testing will be performed on multiple material samples for hardness/degradation to chemical agents, decontaminants and the decontamination processes. Material decontaminability may also be performed.
